Blue Period is a manga about adolescence that first debuted in 2017. The manga series, written by Tsubasa Yamaguchi, is currently active, with 11 volumes released as of this writing. This novel about a high school student’s emotional issues proved so popular that it was adapted into a 12-episode anime series in 2021. Fans have been curious about the second season of Blue Period since the anime never adapted the whole tale, and we’re going to tell you all you need to know about it.
Blue Period has not been officially renewed for a second season as of January 2022. Nonetheless, given that the manga is still continuing and that the anime has only adapted a fraction of it, as well as the fact that the program was a Netflix hit, we believe it is a viable contender for renewal. At this moment, we just do not have any official information.
The remainder of this page will provide you with all of the known and unknown details about a possible season 2 of Blue Period. You’ll learn about its possible debut date, if a trailer exists, what the tale may be about, and much more about this fantastic anime series.
When will the second season of Blue Period be released?
The first season of Blue Period aired between October 2 and December 18, 2021, and comprised of eleven episodes that adapted the first few volumes of Yamaguchi’s manga series. The anime series Blue Period has managed to match the popularity of the original manga, and although it isn’t quite Demon Slayer, it has done more than enough to improve the series’ overall appeal.
The manga has been out since 2017 and has so far been released in eleven volumes, with Yamaguchi continuing to release new chapters. The manga is still popular, thanks in part to the first season of the program. So, what does this imply for the show’s future?
No one has announced anything regarding a possible second season of Blue Period, or any other kind of sequel, as of yet. Blue Period, on the other hand, is a very likely candidate for renewal if you ask us – the show has been popular, and there is more material to adapt – but because we don’t have any specific information, we can’t say anything more than that the show is a likely candidate for renewal in the near future.
Considering all of this, the second season of Blue Period is most likely a year away, but we don’t expect it to air until 2023.
Season 2 trailer for Blue Period
After going through the essential information, you’ve probably concluded that there is no trailer for the second season of Blue Period. The reason for this is simple: the season has yet to be announced, which means that production hasn’t begun, thus there can’t be a trailer for a potential second season.
As previously stated, Blue Period is a likely candidate for renewal, given that the manga series is still ongoing with 11 volumes published to date, and given that the anime still has a lot of material to adapt, as well as how popular it was, we believe we’ll see a sequel, but we won’t know when a trailer will be released until we receive confirmation that a second season will be produced, as well as confirmation that production has begun.
Given the several delays, we may have to wait until early 2023 to learn more about the upcoming season’s trailer, but even that is a long shot. Simply keep an eye on Netflix for further details, since they’re usually very up-to-date.
The narrative of Season 2 of Blue Period
The storyline of a possible second season of Blue Period remains unknown. Although we know what occurs next in the manga series since eleven volumes have been released so far, with more on the way, how the adaptation will tackle this remains a mystery because we have no information about it.
We don’t know how much of the already-published content the producers will adapt, or how many episodes the second season will include. As a result, we are unable to make any accurate predictions regarding the plot.
Blue Period features a high school student named Yatora Yaguchi, who is an excellent student who spends his nights in Shibuya with his friends watching football. But he has no idea what he wants to do after school. He got engaged in an assignment for art class out of curiosity and was surprisingly appreciated, even by his buddies.
Yatora’s interest in the art club grows as a result of his interactions with it, and he finally joins. For the first time, he becomes enthusiastic about anything, notices how excellent the other members of the club are, and aspires to be better. He asks around about which art schools are available and learns about the difficulty of the tests and the level of competition.
Yatora can only apply for the state Tky Geijutsu Daigaku since his parents cannot pay tuition. During the holidays, he completes all of the chores allocated to him by the club’s president. He then goes a preparation school for art college examinations in the winter with Yuka from his class, where he meets many outstanding young people with the same objective as him for the first time.

Season 2 cast of Blue Period
The cast of Blue Period would most likely stay basically the same for a prospective season two, primarily since we know that the bulk of the important characters return later in the tale, and it’s not a show with a lot of deaths or anything. We don’t know whether there will be a second season of the program, or if there will be a movie sequel, since it is also a trend today, but if there is, the actors from season one will most likely return (like they did for the movie), and they include:
- Ayukawa Ryuuji is played by Hanamori Yumiri.
- Yaguchi Yatora is played by Mineta Hiromu.
- Hashida Haruka is played by Kengo Kawanishi.
- Yume Miyamoto as Kuwana Maki
- Takahashi Yotasuke Yamashita Daiki Yamashita Daiki Yamashita Daiki Yamashita Daiki Yamashita Daiki Yama
How many episodes will Season 2 of Blue Period have?
This information is currently unavailable. Season one of Blue Period featured 11 episodes, and given how current anime works, we expect a new season to have around the same number of episodes, perhaps 11 or 12. Because it is uncommon for current anime to have a large(r) number of episodes, we anticipate that this will stay the same.
Where can I see the second season of Blue Period?
Blue Period’s first season aired on JNN’s MBS and TBS networks in Japan. It was then licensed and streamed globally on Netflix, which leads us to believe that the same will happen with season two. If a second season is made, it will most likely be televised in Japan before being made available on one or more streaming sites.
