Grappler Baki
The first and most essential Baki manga you should read is Grappler Baki. It was first released in 1991 and lasted through 1999, with 42 volumes. As a result, if you’re new to Baki manga, you should start with Grappler Baki.
Baki, a grappler, discusses the region under the fabled Tokyo Dome. Kourakuen, an underground combat arena, is located here. A location where soldiers may demonstrate their combat prowess. In this arena, there are only two actual rules: no weapons are permitted, and no one will be rewarded. Instead, warriors battle for the dignity of their name to live on forever.
Baki Hanma, who is raised by the famed greatest fighter Yuujirou Hanma, wants to outshine his ruthless father by training to the extreme, earning him a place in Kourakuen. Baki continues to practice harder and wins the Kourakuen because of his hate for his father and his desire to beat him.
New Grappler Baki
You may read New Grappler Baki once you’ve completed reading Grappler Baki. It began serializing in 1999 and continued till the conclusion. The last volume was published in 2005, making a total of 31 volumes. As a result, after reading Grappler Baki, I suggest reading the new grappler Baki.
Baki Hanma, a seventeen-year-old combat champion, continues to push his body to its boundaries in the New Grappler. He plans to fight his monster father, Yuujirou Hanma, at some point in the future. Baki becomes bored with his required high school studies as a result, but finds solace and strength in his developing connection with Kozue Matsumoto.
At the start of the series, five strong death row prisoners from the United States, the United Kingdom, Japan, and Russia break out from their respective prisons and escape to Tokyo to compete in the tournament. As a result, the prisoners posed a danger to Baki.
In order to beat their criminal opponents, Baki forms an alliance with Yakuza Kaoru Hanayama, competitor Retsu Kaiou, mentor Doppo Orochi, and old jujitsu instructor Gouki Shibukawa. Baki, on the other hand, has the additional responsibility of defending Kozue from his wicked new foes, and he must battle to show himself worthy in the eyes of his father, Yuujirou.
Hanma Baki
Hanma Baki was published for 37 volumes between 2005 and 2012. Hanma Baki Manga is the next step after reading the prequels (New Grappler Baki and Grappler Baki). Finally, you’ll run across Crapper Baki–Son of Ogre, but don’t be fooled; they’re the same person.
Baki Hanma is nearly set to confront Yuujirou, his father, in a last fight. Baki challenges his father to a revenge fight for the title of “World’s Strongest” after 18 years of intense training. Baki continued to train by fighting people who are said to be almost as strong as his father Yuujirou, such as the “Unchained” bounty hunter Biscuit Olivia and a prehistoric human named Pickle who was resurrected from the Mesozoic era.
Yuujirou comes to grips with his real emotions for his son as Baki tries to comprehend his father’s terrible heritage. The two Hanmas get closer to their showdown to determine who is the “world’s strongest.”
Baki Dou
Baki Dou is the following book after you’ve finished the three prequels. With a total of 22 volumes, it started serializing in 2014 and concluded in 2018. This should be the final chapter to read, but if you want to delve further, you may read the extras and supplements. This is why the manga should only be read after all of the prequels have been completed.
Baki defends his championship in the Kourakuen subterranean arena after finally ending his war with his demonic father Yuujirou.
Baki, on the other hand, was becoming dissatisfied with the fights he was easily winning with little effort. The scientific experiment that resulted in the successful cloning of famous warrior Musashi Miyamoto soon became a legendary danger to them.
Musashi Miyamoto aspires to the top by upholding his ancient values of honor and death battling. As a result of slicing through Baki’s companions, the cloned ancient warrior finds himself in a fight with the angry adolescent. Baki has finally met a suitable partner in crime.
It’s worth noting that the gardens and additions have no bearing on the primary plot.
