“Who would win” is a question that has been asked for centuries, but the answer has changed over time. Today, it’s not about who would win in a fight, but rather which entertainment medium would be more popular today.
The who would win pdf is a question that has been asked for years. For this article, I will give you the answer to who would win in a fight between Captain America and Thor.
If Darkseid is in his full form, he would defeat Thanos in a battle (even if Thanos has the Infinity Gauntlet). Thanos would triumph with the Infinity Gauntlet but lose without it if he were to battle one of Darkseid’s avatars.
There’s still a lot to be said about Darkseid vs. Thanos. We’ll look at their abilities in more depth later in this post, as well as how the battle between Darkseid and Thanos might play out.
Who Is Stronger: Thanos or Darkseid?
Strengths and Weaknesses of Thanos
Thanos is a colossal figure in the Marvel Universe. He is an Eternal who has proved to be more powerful than other Marvel characters, even without the use of external upgrades like the Infinity Stones.
He is immortal, has superhuman strength, speed, and endurance, is almost invulnerable, can teleport and regenerate, control matter, utilize telepathic powers, manipulate energy, and even fly, and possesses extraordinary intellect. Thanos is a very dangerous opponent in that regard, although he is not the strongest.
Finally, it is Thanos’ Deviants gene, as well as his years of training and preparation, that made him so strong. Thanos is a figure that is extremely focused and determined. He has a goal and a purpose, and he is so determined to achieve them that he will go to any length to achieve them, no matter how costly it may be.
Strengths and Weaknesses of Darkseid
Darkseid, on the other hand, is a deity, not merely a god-like creature. To be exact, one of the New Gods. Despite their humanoid appearance, New Gods (similar to the Eternals in Marvel’s world but somewhat more powerful) are very strong, with Darkseid being the most powerful of the bunch.
Darkseid possesses extraordinary strength and stamina, and his regeneration abilities, coupled with his near invulnerability, make him almost eternal; he has died many times, but never for good. He also acquired the Omega Force’s power, making him much more powerful than before.
He can shoot Omega Beams, energy beams that can demolish matter in a split second, thanks to the power (although some cosmic entities like Doomsday or Superman are immune to it).
He also possesses cosmic awareness, the ability to move across dimensions and space (without the need for a Mother Box), the ability to change his size, and psychic powers (telekinesis, telepathy).
He can also revive the dead thanks to the Omega Force. He may also feed on the energy of Apokolips and other worlds if necessary, much like Galactus.
Who Would Win in a Battle Between Darkseid and Thanos?
There are three distinct scenarios to examine when comparing Thanos with Darkseid. Two in which Thanos battles one of Darkseid’s numerous avatars, with or without the Infinity Gauntlet, and one in which Thanos faces Darkseid’s still-unseen real form with the Infinity Gauntlet. We’ll take a look at each of these scenarios individually.
Darkseid vs. Thanos (with the Infinity Gauntlet)
By now, everyone knows that when Thanos wields the Infinity Gauntlet and all six Stones, his power levels skyrocket. Thanos’ most potent weapon is the Infinity Gauntlet, and the abilities it gives him are incredible.
He has reality-bending abilities, making him almost unstoppable, despite the fact that he has been beaten in the past.
Darkseid, on the other hand, is fairly secure in his own abilities and doesn’t place a high value on weaponry. He possesses very strong weaponry, maybe even more so as Thanos (without the Gauntlet), yet he depends on his own natural abilities, strength, and intellect.
His most potent “weapon” is the Anti-Life Equation – which he nearly never gets to acquire – yet the Anti-Life Equation just “annuls” life and lacks the Gauntlet’s abilities. The equation makes it easier for Darkseid to control everyone, but that’s about all.
So, even if Thanos were to confront Darkseid with the Infinity Gauntlet – even if we handed him the Equation in this scenario – the king of Apokolips wouldn’t have a chance.
Specifically, Darkseid is a reality-based god, not a supernatural entity, as depicted in the comics, which implies that the Gauntlet’s abilities would work against him, enabling Thanos to triumph in this scenario.
Darkseid’s Anti-Life Equation would be useless here, since Thanos could counteract its effects with the Infinity Stones, and Thanos seems to be eternal in the sense that (Lady) Death doesn’t really desire him, despite his feelings for her. This is why Thanos comes out on top in this situation.
Darkseid vs. Thanos (without the Infinity Gauntlet)
This is a non-enhanced battle that truly informs us about the two villains, and it’s the scenario you could use as a reference point since it depicts who they are without any modifications or weaponry.
In this situation, none of them has any weapons, thus Thanos is missing his Gauntlet and Darkseid is without the Anti-Life Equation.
In this situation, we’ll have to dig a little further into their abilities. What we can see right away is that they’re both equally tough in a fight and capable of making it last a long time. Darkseid seems to be the stronger of the two in terms of sheer physical strength.
He has constantly faced much more powerful opponents than Thanos, with Superman and the Anti-Monitor, the former one of the universe’s most powerful creatures and the latter an entity as powerful as Darkseid himself, being the only ones who have able to do him significant damage.
He was beaten up by Doomsday in his early days, but that man is so tough that he’d knock even Thanos as well.
Thanos has limited access to special talents and energy manipulation without upgrades, while Darkseid is inherently able to unleash his devastating Omega Beams.
They also do a lot of damage, even if they aren’t 100% deadly against more strong opponents. Thanos wouldn’t be killed by the Beam (at least not right away), but Darkseid might do a lot of damage with them.
They’re also fairly well matched in terms of speed, but unlike Thanos, Darkseid has the ability to alter his appearance, even his stature, giving him yet another edge in this situation.
When all of this is considered, Darkseid would be able to beat Thanos in a straight battle without the use of any upgrades on either side. In this instance, the pupil hasn’t beaten the master, and Darkseid takes the win, tying the match for the time being.
Darkseid’s True Form vs. Thanos (with the Infinity Gauntlet)
Now it’s time for the final showdown, a showdown that will decide which of these two formidable criminals is the stronger. We’re not putting the characters’ two most powerful forms against one another; instead, we’re pitting Thanos with the Infinity Gauntlet against Darkseid in his actual form.
We won’t go over everything we stated about Thanos’ Gauntlet form again, but we may concentrate on Darkseid’s real form for a moment.
Darkseid, it turned out, is an everlasting, omnipresent menace who presents himself in an unlimited number of avatars on each Multiverse Earth (or, as it is called now, the Omniverse). Although each of these avatars is strong, they are just a figment of Darkseid’s real abilities.
Darkseid’s actual form had been hinted at in previous tales (for more information, see our page), but it wasn’t until the Infinite Frontier imprint was established that his full form was revealed. Darkseid’s real form was imprisoned on Earth Omega, a secret portion of the Omniverse from which he commanded his avatars.
Darkseid eventually manages to break free from his cage and join with his avatars, becoming his full form.
In this actual form, what may Darkseid do? We don’t know what he is (yet! ), but we do know that he is the most deadly character in DC Comics history. Even when he was imprisoned, his actual form was characterized as having the ability to destroy the whole Multiverse, posing a genuinely god-like danger.
We have yet to see how much harm he can do now that he has finally arrived, but there is little question that the Omniverse as a whole is on the verge of extinction.
So, what can Thanos do to combat this incarnation? Really, not much. The Infinity Stones are strong, capable of manipulating time, space, reality, and other things, yet Darkseid’s actual form resides outside of all of them. He is ubiquitous because he seems to be a part of existence itself, and therefore is difficult to control or vanquish.
We’ll have to wait and see what the DC authors come up with, but as far as we know, there’s nothing Thanos could do with the Infinity Gauntlet to damage Darkseid’s actual form, since that form seems to be capable of destroying the whole Omniverse, something even Thanos is incapable of. This is why we think Darkseid will come out on top.
The Bottom Line in Darkseid vs. Thanos
We may now proclaim the winner without having completed all three scenarios.
Darkseid would win in a straight, non-enhanced fight between Thanos and Darkseid. Without any upgrades, he is more strong and has a far wider range of abilities.
Thanos would be able to destroy Darkseid with relative ease if he had the Infinity Gauntlet, since the god of Apokolips isn’t really capable of opposing the Infinity Stones.
But, in a fight against Darkseid’s full form, the Gauntlet would be useless against Thanos. Darkseid’s true form is a world-shattering force capable of defeating Thanos.
To summarize, Darkseid has won two of the three scenarios, allowing us to proclaim Darkseid the final winner of this titanic battle.
Who is smarter, Thanos or Darkseid?
Now, as a kind of dessert, we’ll tell you which of the two villains is the wiser of the two. This is also a tough one to assess since both are very clever and skilled tacticians, as shown by many comic book stories.
Darkseid, on the other hand, is more focused and has more experience, which makes him “smarter” if that is your chosen term.
Darkseid is a ruthless assassin. He knows exactly what he wants and will go to any length to get it. He has little empathy and is completely unaffected by most feelings. He has no one or nothing to answer to, and his sole ambition is to become the ultimate dictator of everything.
He also has a lot of experience, having pillaged worlds for millennia in pursuit of the Anti-Life Equation, the ultimate weapon that would give him his desires.
Thanos, on the other hand, despite his dedication and expertise, has one flaw: his love for Lady Death. Thanos does all he can to impress his love, but this is also his flaw, as he loses focus on the more essential objectives. Darkseid does not have such a flaw, which is why we believe he is wiser than Thanos.
Fans Pick the Winner in Darkseid vs. Thanos
In 2019, Twitter created a poll asking fans to vote on who would win if Darkseid and Thanos fought. The vote was cast by more than 33,000 fans. The vote for Darkseid received almost 66 percent of the vote.
Who came first: Darkseid or Thanos?
Though Thanos was the first to appear on film (in the MCU), Darkseid was the first to appear in a comic book (Forever People #1, February 1971). Thanos would not appear in Marvel comics for another two years, until Iron Man #55 in February 1973.
The who would win reading level is a question that many people ask. This is because it’s difficult to predict who would win in a fight, and also because it’s hard to determine what the reading level of each character is.
