For Life’s cancellation sentence has been maintained. In June 2020, the comedy was renewed for a second season, which would premiere on November 18, 2020. The program was cancelled in May 2021 after two seasons. After being canceled by ABC, Season 3 of For Life is unable to find a new home.

Nicholas Pinnock, the show’s creator, made it clear to fans after the show’s termination in May that he was not unhappy with ABC’s decision.

He wrote, “I am not angry of ABC for not renewing For Life for a third season,” adding that the network has been “nothing but supportive of our show, and has championed it from the beginning.”
